Welcome to Moscow, Idaho!
If this is your first time visiting Moscow, welcome! This is a small (27k population) university town in the “Palouse” region of North Idaho. We have a very, very walkable and vibrant downtown filled with coffee shops, boutique stores, bars, and restaurants, all with a distinct small town charm.
For those of you planning on flying in, we have two main airport options: the newly renovated Palouse Regional Airport (PUW) about 10-15 minutes west of town and Spokane International (GEG) about 1.5 hours north of us. Palouse Regional is obviously amazingly convenient if you’re able to do it, but having made the drive to-and-from Spokane countless times, we can assure you that it is one of THE most beautiful drives you can take through the rolling green hills of the Palouse landscape.
If you’re planning on renting a car, there are plenty of on-site services at both airports. That said, if you’re flying into Palouse Regional and are able to arrange for an Uber to pick you up, we assure you that walking around town is a BREEZE—especially if you are staying downtown, but just about anywhere else in town as well. There are also plenty of Spin scooters available if you download the app.
Please don’t hesitate to call, text, or email either of us with ANY questions at all—we want to make sure you have the best possible time in Moscow!

Things to Do!
If you've got a free couple of hours, these are some of our favorite little adventures:
Check out downtown shops like Bookpeople, Intrigue, Cafe Artista, Panhandle Ice Cream, or walk through East City Park
Stroll through the Arboretum on campus. It will be gorgeous this time of year!
Saturday morning, 8am-1pm is Moscow’s renowned Farmers Market! So fun to walk and shop through. Catch live music at 10:30am
Beautiful short hike options at the cedar grove of Idlers Rest (10 minute drive) and the wildflower-covered Kamiak Butte (20 min drive). There are also miles of trails on Moscow Mountain (15 minute drive to Headwaters trailhead parking, or use the Trailforks app to navigate the dozens and dozens of hiking/mountain biking routes)
Visit the cute town of Palouse about 20 minutes north of Moscow. There's a coffee shop, a three-story antique store, and two eateries - Palouse Caboose and Palouse Brewery - right along the north fork of the Palouse River. Palouse Caboose is where Corey and I had our first date!
Take a drive 30 minutes south to the overlook above the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley - it’s an incredible vista looking down into the valley/canyons, with views of Washington and Oregon mountain ranges and the Snake and Clearwater Rivers
